The Ultimate Ticketing and Reservation System: designed specifically for the passenger vessel and guided tours industries
Four Years ago, Gordon Stevens, President of New Orleans Steamboat - Greg Hoffman, President of Gray Line Tours of New Orleans, and Virtual Ticketing Solutions sat down to discuss a way to decrease operating costs while increasing sales.
The Way – to design a ticketing and reservation system from the bottom up. Most ticketing systems can easily handle eighty percent of PVA ticketing and management requirements: however, it usually requires eighty percent more in labor cost to handle the last twenty percent of the ticket management. In order to reduce the labor cost, they wanted a system that automates tasks, stream lines work flow, reduces redundancy, and produces vital information: thus, allowing management to make critical proactive decisions. In order to help increase sales they wanted more exposure and the ability to easily cross sell tickets with other tourist companies.
The Means – by giving Virtual Ticketing Solution’s design engineers access to department level work flows, we have developed a windows based software system, which will reduce labor costs through improved efficiency and management control. We have automated the sales process to the point that we can sell tickets, and make reservations from anywhere. We have built into our system, the flexibility to handle complex multiple packages: yet made it easy to book, sell, manage, and edit tickets.

We can put a link on anybody’s web page, and set them up as an agent. A hotel web page could have a simple link, ‘local attractions’. This would link the customer to your web site. At the end of the month you would send the hotel a report and a check for all tickets bought through their web site. It is simple and clean with no labor cost.
